Eastern Environmental Consultants have worked on many projects over the last 25 years, from the design and construction of industrial wastewater treatment plants through to the commissioning management of the latest technologies for enhanced sludge management. Below is a summary of a few highlighted projects for which EEC has provided services.
Design Verification and Commissioning Management.
EEC were engaged by John Holland to firstly verify the plant design and then provide commissioning and expert determination services to complete and handover the plant to the Western Australian Water Corporation. The plant consisted of 3 2ML/d MVC evaporators and provides distilled water to the Burrup Fertiliser plant. The plant completed the performance testing under the management of EEC and was handed over to the Water Corporation for operation.
CSR OBERON WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
Detailed Design to Operational Support
Eastern Environmental Consultants were orginally engaged by Leighton Contractors to provide a solution for the expansion of the Medium Density Fibreboard plant at Oberon in NSW. Following completion of the concept designs, EEC were then engaged directly by CSR to undertake design, manage construction and commissioning and provide ongoing process advise. The plant consists of Screening, Primary Sedimentation, Sequencing Batch Reactors, Tertiary DAF, Multimedia Filtration, UF and RO and was the first plant providing zero disharge of MDF wastewater in the world.
EEC provided commissioning management services to the Brisbane Water Enviro Alliance. EEC personnel managed a team of over 10 engineers and technicians to commission 4 wastewater treatment plants and an advanced wastewater treatment plant. Additionally the Oxley plant also involved the commissioning of the first Cambi thermal hydrolysis and Struvite Crystalisation processes in the southern hemisphere.
SHELL GEELONG ELECTROCHLORINATION
Design and project management
EEC management the design and entire construction and commissioning of the electrochlorination plant for Shell Geelong. The plant consisted of a filtration and 40 kg/hr saltwater electochlorination plant. This plant was a replacement of an aged gaseous chlorine facility and provided significant operating cost savings to Shell for the treatment of the cooling water throughout their facility.
